My latest little build

Three hours of spare tinker time...
.
One donor webcam...
.
One perfect fit brass ball...
.

.
My first steampunked webcam - tested and fully functional. I call it finished but I will probably cloth bind the cable.
.
Now this one is for sale. I have decided to fund my Dremel set with the sale of this 'one off' design steampunk webcam.
.
Before I eBay or Etsy this item - feel free to email me if you are interested in purchasing the first maduncle item for sale (my email address is in my profile).
.
UPDATE:
.
As much as I would like to be able to conceal the cable in the brass gooseneck, it can't be done due to the fixtures. So I have bravely cut the cable and sleeved it with a cloth bootlace (see the Brass Goggles forum for 'how to'). Now I just need to solder the cable back together and then I am thinking of attaching small brass eyelets down the gooseneck and threading the cable through them so they act like 'stanchions' and space the cable off the gooseneck. Thanks for your kind comments and ideas (including you little brother), all taken on board.

Looks good, I agree that the cloth binding will be the icing on the cake.

Hi Cliff - can you run the cable down through the brass pipe and conceal it?

What interesting item did the base come from originally?
